They misplayed their hand, however. The [[Slithers]] slithered across the river one night and descended upon [[Glasshome]], slaughtering many [[Horenites]] and rescuing their princess. As a final act of retribution, they used [[The Ooze]] to create a giant sinkhole that swallowed up [[Glasshome]]. Water from the river rushed in and very little remained of the original settlement underneath the new body of water, [[Lake Glasshome]]. Some [[Horenites]] survived and were resettled in the [[Glasshome Labor Camp]] where they were put to work in the mines. Their labor was also used to construct [[The Hall of Souls]], an impressive ziggurat contructed of [[Dead Glass]] that served as the seat of government for the growing city. --- ![[MasterBase.base#Associations]] ---
