Their history is one of various clans who were united under King Ferrrel. It is said he was spoken to by the Stone King, a giant who lives (or is?) Mt Skov. Squabbles amongst the clans still persist, but they do not rise to the conflict levels of the past. The land is quite fertile and this has led to a booming agriculture industry. It exports a good deal of grain and other cool climate produce. There giant elk in the mountains are called the Garrox. Imperials pronounce it Furland with derision. **The King** Ferreland was once a land of warring clans until they were united by King Ferrel over 200 years ago. Since then, the land has seen a period of relative peace. There have been plenty of conflicts over the years (these are a passionate people) but the king has generally been able to keep things from getting out of hand. **The Clans** The importance of clans has mostly become a relic of the past. Ferrelanders still hold pride for the history of their clan, but society is structured around the thriving urban and agricultural centers. **The Homa** An important right of passage for any Ferrelander is their Homa, a face tattoo. The Homa is a form of self expression and identity. It is usually abstract and geometric but can be anything really. Some Homa are passed down through generations while others are unique and say something about the individual. **The Mountain** The largest mountain, Mt. Skov, is where the capital of Stonetable was built. It is also said that a giant named Skov (or the Stone King) either sleeps deep within the mountain or even is the mountain. The island sometimes has some tectonic action and it is attributed to Skov snoring. Mt. Urda is sometimes said to house a smaller giant, possibly Skov's wife or child. Maaaybe' The main religion in the land is tied to the monarchy. The King is considered ruler over both the spiritual and physical realms as he has a diret line to the Stone King.. Each town has a Stone Church where priests pass down the wisdom of their leader. > ##### **Timeline Overview** > ![[EventsBase.base#Related Events Top Level]] > [!NOTE]- References > ![[MasterBase.base#Associations]]
