Author of the [[Anarchist's Recipe Book]] [[Vance]] (Nate) - A not-so-competent criminal [[Dale]]- The owner of the [[Key Playhouse]] After a tragic accident, [[Tucker]] was killed by a falling theater light. [[Ember]] was implicated, though it was actually part of a scheme to sell the theater by [[Dale]], the owner. [[Kavok]] reanimated their lover, though his face was horribly disfigured beyond repair. [[Kavok]] decided that they needed to switch [[Tucker]] to a new body and needed a special tome that was securely stored in the [[First City Bank of Kelport]]. [[Kavok]] met with a friend of his aunt's cousin's roommate's nephew, [[Vance]]. The two plotted to place some explosives in the neighboring laundromat that shares a wall with the vault. [[Vance]] said that they will need to procure the instructions for an explosive that [[Pyre]] has. No one paid attention to the hooded [[Tucker]], who sat silently at the table. Ember and Pyre were in the theatre basement. It seemed [[Pyre]] wanted to disseminate their plans for the explosives in a coded entry in [[Ember]]'s zine, [[The Firebrand]]. As the two conspired, [[Vance]] was at the open window, trying to listen in with a stethoscope. He was not as sneaky as he thought he was. [[Ember]] closed the window on his sleeve. Later on, during rehearsals for [[Hamlet]], both [[Ember]] and [[Dale]] were shocked to see [[Tucker]] alive and ... well. [[Dale]] tried to again put the blame on [[Ember]], but [[Tucker]] was strangely accepting of his fate and held no grudge. He and [[Ember]] decided they wanted to get back at [[Dale]], who was really responsible. Later, [[Ember]] and [[Pyre]] were again in the basement, working out their code for the bomb instructions. [[Tucker]], sent by [[Kavok]], walked in and expressed interest in the bomb recipe. The two revolutionaries took the opportunity to test their code on [[Tucker]] and were satisfied with its effectiveness. [[Tucker]] was able to memorize the recipe. Tucker snatched one of the bombs and ran off to bring it to [[Kavok]]. The bomb exploded and took [[Tucker]]'s arm with it. It was 2AM in the laundromat. [[Kavok]], [[Vance]], [[Tucker]] and six reanimated skeletons were busy setting up their heist. The explosives worked, but the hole in the wall is smaller than expected. Luckily the skeletons could fit through, though a few lost some bony limbs in the process. The skeletons started looting the vault and one handed the [[tome]] to [[Kavok]], who wordlessly left while holding the book with reverence. The skeletons helped [[Vance]] load up as much money as he could carry and he made his escape. [[Vance]] made it to the docks and was negotiating with [[Captain Rex]] to get out of town quick. The captain was happy to accept and exorbitant fee, but also pointed out that Vance was being followed. [[Pyre]] was watching the entire time. After briefly taunting [[Vance]], [[Pyre]] throws a much larger explosive at the dock, destroying the pier. Watching the approaching constables as he sank, [[Vance]] decided to just end it. He loaded himself up with his loot to weigh himself down and sank to the bottom of the river. Once again in the basement of the theatre, [[Pyre]] returns to tell [[Ember]] about the night and to ask about the zine. They had changed their mind about the bomb plans being out there, saying it was just too dangerous to have out there. It was too late, however. [[Ember]] had already distributed the rag to many locations. It was then that they started hearing a series of explosions from all over the city. [[Tucker]] showed up. He and [[Ember]] put together their plan to frame [[Dale]] for the bombings all around the city by placing a bomb and the plans in his office. [[Dale]] was mysteriously absent from his office so the frame up goes to plan. There was also a conversation where [[Tucker]] was encouraged to make decisions for himself. Ember felt the need to recall the zines that had already been distributed. At a nearby coffee shop, there were still a few left. As [[Ember]] reclaimed the zines, a bomb went off in the coffee shop destroying the business (a subsidiary of [[Metazon]]) and killing [[Ember]]. It became known as [[The Night of a Thousand Bombs]]. [[Pyre]]'s revolutionary cohort were pretty upset at them for the fallout from the bombings. The occupying military tightened their grip on the city and made things a lot worse. As punishment, they bricked [[Pyre]] into the wall, keeping him alive but in torment. Back in the ritual room, [[Kavok]] was preparing the [[Body Transfer Ritual]] to transfer Tucker to a new body. When [[Tucker]] entered, he saw an unconscious [[Dale]] and had a bad feeling about [[Kavok]]'s plan. He though that [[Kavok]] was going to repair his damaged body, not transfer him to another (and [[Dale]] at that!). At the key point in the ritual, [[Tucker]] pushed [[Kavok]] into the circle so that they were the one body swapped with [[Dale]]. While it seemed that the ritual could just be re-cast to undo the swap, the authorities raided the building and arrested [[Dale]] (actually [[Kavok]]) for the bombings. [[Kavok]], trapped in the theatre manager's body lived out the rest of his life in prison. [[Tucker]] and [[Dale]] (in [[Kavok]]'s body) came to an uneasy truce. While they still despised each other, it was in their best interest to keep the facade of a marriage alive. They took over ownership of the theatre and Carl, not wanting to be associated with the necromancer, changed his name to Dale. They renamed the theatre Tucker & Dale's Playhouse and lived miserably ever after.
