##### Story
**Background Detail**
I belonged to a traveling carnival before switching places (think Prince and the Pauper) with a young nobleman. Unfortunately, the war made the experience short lived.
**Vice Detail**
I am the first to indulge in “retail therapy” theatre, food, etc. with whatever funds I have. More often than not acquired through sex work, which has been a reliable and enjoyable fall back
**Looks**
A young male of slightly above average height with an athletic build. He is very flamboyant in presentation and enjoys flowing beautiful clothes and various jewelry. He has gray eyes and medium length white platinum hair
**Motivation**
I want to survive and hope I’m betting on the right horse. I also want the same for others, but I’m too guarded to admit this
**Quirks**
> [!NOTE]- **Background**
> Beau lost his family in a house fire as a teenager, leaving him with little more than the clothes on his back. He followed a childhood friend into a traveling carnival, where the two trained as aerial performers, eventually becoming an accomplished silks duo. For a time, the carnival gave Beau a new family and a place to belong. But as the years passed, his friend's growing recklessness and self-destructive habits drove a wedge between them, and Beau began looking for a way out.
>
> That opportunity arrived in the most unlikely form: a young nobleman who looked almost exactly like him. The noble convinced Beau he was getting the better end of the bargain by trading lives, claiming he wanted freedom from the suffocating expectations of high society. In reality, the noble's family was quietly collapsing under enormous debts after being swindled through reckless investments in magic. By the time Beau realized he'd inherited a sinking ship, it was too late.
>
> For a brief period, Beau reveled in noble life. He embraced fine clothes, lavish entertainment, exquisite food, and every luxury he had been denied growing up. Though he held little respect for the upper class, he had no qualms about enjoying their lifestyle while it lasted.
>
> Then the war came. The family's fortunes evaporated, the illusion shattered, and Beau found himself cast out once again. He occasionally receives cryptic letters from the nobleman who orchestrated the exchange, though he can never tell whether they are apologies, warnings, or quiet mockery.
>
> Returning to the performer’s life proved difficult, so Beau found work wherever charm and beauty could earn him a living. He resumed performing when opportunities arose and turned to sex work to finance the lifestyle he still craved—a life filled with beautiful clothes, fine food, and nights at the theater.
>
> Beneath the flamboyant confidence and love of luxury, Beau is deeply cautious. He tells himself he's only interested in backing the winning side and surviving whatever comes next. But despite his carefully guarded heart, he can't help wanting others to survive alongside him.
