As a child my tasks were the menial labor of basic cleaning. However as I aged my master recognized that I had a skill at being ignored during meetings of powerful people while also retaining all that was said. **Vice Detail** I study poisons. My greatest joy is to poison a member of a noble house who treated me viscously when I was a youth. **Looks** At first glance people would describe me as mousy - slightly below average in height, my hair is cut just above my shoulders, my clothing is clean and tended too, but of a more common cut and cloth. I am easily regarded as a servant in a noble's charge. **Motivation** I've seen the evil that the powerful do. It was done to me and I've seen it done to others. I want to use the skills I have learned to bring them down. **Quirks** - Ebb haunted by a ghost --- > [!NOTE]- **Backstory** > Ebb was traded to a noble house advisor as collateral for a family debt, in exchange for a mid-ranking relative being spared. Cut off from their family entirely, they were raised as property within the noble household and trained in menial service from childhood. > > Initially treated as little more than a servant—isolated, neglected, and occasionally abused—Ebb gradually revealed an unusual talent: they were easily overlooked in high society spaces while retaining everything they heard. Their presence became functionally invisible, making them an ideal silent observer during meetings of power. > > As they matured, their role shifted from labor to intelligence. The advisor recognized their ability to gather and retain sensitive information unnoticed, and they were increasingly placed in rooms where important decisions were made but never spoken to directly. They learned, quietly and thoroughly, how power moves—and how careless powerful people become when they believe they are not being watched. > > After their master’s death, Ebb was granted their freedom. What remained was a lifetime of accumulated knowledge about the nobility’s cruelty, carelessness, and hypocrisy—and a sharpened understanding of how easily such systems can be poisoned from within. > > Now working in the margins of society, they study toxins and poisons with clinical fascination, seeing them as both craft and justice. Their greatest desire is not abstract change, but precise retribution: to bring down those who once treated them as disposable, using the same quiet methods that once made them invisible. > > Beneath their plain, easily ignored exterior is someone who has learned exactly how dangerous being overlooked can be—and how effectively it can be used. > [!NOTE]- Associations > ![[MasterBase.base#Associations]]
