When the hero [[Fel]] sought to confront the Children, it ultimately ended with the land being shattered by a giant spear from the sky. > [!NOTE]- Full Story > **Act 1** > [[Fel]] was from [[Hormburg]], aka Mumble Town, a small village that is unable to afford the [[Children of the Forest|Children's tax]]. In addition, a townsperson recently undertook the [[Elidesa - Pilgrimage & Taxes|pilgrimage]] but never returned, creating a breach of trust with the Children. [[Fel]] saw the injustice that creates a cycle of poverty in her town. She decided that she is going to journey into the rain forest and steal the relic. > > [[Briar]], known for the invention of an arrhythmic, dissonate musical instrument called the [[polyzither]], chose to travel with the Hero. Every Hero needs a travelling minstrel, right? > > [[Rhyz]] also joined the quest. They presented themself as a supporter of The Hero's goals, they really just wanted to find a way to break the whole system. While they did grow up in Mumbletown, their actual origin is a big secret. > > > The group made it past the [[Dragon Wall]] and headed towards [[Grambol]], a small village next to the Rain Forest. There, they were met by [[Mehani]] who acted as a guide. > > Meanwhile, [[Vargon the Whale Beast]], a whale-like creature with a unibrow and wearing fish as shoes, crawled out of the sea in the west and began walking towards [[The Deep Green]]. The Monster was once a human. It was responsible for the [[Gauntlet Run Tragedy]] and was cursed into this form. Its ultimate goal was to reach the Children of the Forest and get them to turn him back into a human. > > Following [[Vargon the Whale Beast]] was a covered wagon with a sign that read [[Lemony's Whale Bits]]. > > At the same time, a giant teapot robot, the [[Teabot]], begins a journey along the coast of the continent from the east. It then departed from the land, in search of something elsewhere. No one knew, but the [[Teabot]] was summoned by the [[Teapot People]] to extract vengeance on [[Children of the Forest]] and end their reign. > > **Lore** > [[The Rift]] > > Also, there are [[Pigeon Dragons]] (or Dragon Pigeons) and a shark barfed up a [[giant cat statue]]. A teapot with spider legs crawled into the cat statue and it meowed. > > On the full moon, the dragons of the wall did a choreographed dance (scandalous!). > > After the emergence of [[Vargon the Whale Beast]], a hot new trend starts in the nearby town of [[Pflugel]] - [[Fish Shoes]]! > > > **Act 2** > [[Vargon the Whale Beast]] had started barreling through the rain forest, knocking down trees and causing destruction. It also had bark armor now and a tree on its head. There was a conversation throughout the land of what to do about [[Vargon the Whale Beast]]. Should they do something or let it continue its destructive path? Their inaction was a result of indecisiveness, not deliberation. > > [[Fel]] and party found the village of [[Clomclop]] has been mysteriously abandoned. [[Ailwan]] was a Child of the Forest, but disagreed with the way they held the land hostage. They were ostracized by their people and lived alone in the forest near [[Clomclop]]. When The Hero and her party arrived in [[Clomclop]], [[Ailwan]] offered to take them to the Children of the Forest. > > [[Vargon the Whale Beast]] and [[Fel]] and his companions converged on [[Children of the Forest]]. What looked to be gearing up for a big dramatic conflict, wound up being a little anti-climactic. Instead, [[Rhyz]] negotiated a new structure for tax and magic in the land and all parties came into agreement. It seemed that the land was poised for a brand new start. > > That did not happen. The [[Teabot]] had returned with its [[Spear]] that it launched into the air. > > [[Isolda]], the main cook for [[Children of the Forest]], was of a similar mind to [[Ailwan]] regarding her people's abuse of power. They kept their opinion to themselves and were not banished. They had been secretly helping [[Ailwan]] all along. [[Isolda]] hosted a dinner party to celebrate the new accord. > > The spear came down from the heavens, a brutal reparation for the mistreatment of the [[Teapot People]]. It shattered the [[Relic]] into a million shards that joined the stars and sundered the land. It became evident that it was what was sustaining the [[Children of the Forest|Children]] when they all died. > > The magic of the [[Relic]] was let loose into the land, no longer controlled by any people and the age had ended.. > > **Lore** > [[The Teabot and the Spear]] > > > The [[giant cat statue]] laid down and stopped meowing. People still made a yearly pilgrimage to make offerings. In fact, [[cat food]] was invented to help appease the cat statue. > > **Epilogue** > I just have that [[Briar]] departed the land. I missed the details of what they did next. > > [[Mehani]] founded a school of magic study, with facilities built up around the spear. It became known as [[The Tower of the Spear]]. > > [[Rhyz]] stayed I what remained of [[The Deep Green]], though that ecosystem had been permanently damaged. > > [[Vargon the Whale Beast]], now human, crossed the [[Rift River]] to join the [[Teapot People]]. > > And dancing returned to the land with the spread of the song "[[Do The Fish Shoe]]"
