Witnesses claimed the undead would sometimes march together in perfect formation, but most of the time they simply stood motionless for hours. The crew eventually discovered evidence that the zombies were being controlled remotely from Carthel University's clock tower. Bryn constructed a device capable of detecting the mysterious signals and they broke into the university. Again. Darius wrangled some zombies in the tower while Esh and Danya sabotaged the equipment. They then descended into the basement levels of the university. Along the way they encountered Jax and Wilson and managed to knock both unconscious. They encountered a central chamber occupied by members of The Oblivion and their leader, Mardin Gull. They seemed to be creating the zombies here through a large central apparatus. Again. > > The crew infiltrated the university and climbed to the top of the clock tower. There they found transmission equipment connected to the zombie network. After tangling with five zombies (literally) in the cramped tower, they sabotaged the machinery and disrupted the signal. > > They then descended into the basement levels of the university. Along the way they encountered Jax and Wilson and managed to knock both unconscious. Searching the area, they discovered medical equipment and strange IV bags filled with fluids apparently used in the creation of zombies. > > Deeper underground they entered a central chamber occupied by members of The Oblivion and their leader, Mardin Gull. They seemed to be creating the zombies here through a large central apparatus. > > A quick battle followed. Esh provided covering fire throughout the fight, while Bryn laid into enemies with a crowbar. Darius suffered severe psychological strain and developed an unhealthy obsession with Wilson. Danya charged directly at Mardin and survived, but suffered a permanent electromagnetic trauma as a result of the encounter. The crew killed four of the mages and defeated Mardin Gull, though he seemed to disapparate. > > > When the fighting finally ended, the crew captured one surviving mage and gathered whatever useful supplies they could find.
