With the risk of being discovered, the Garrox who were present enacted a clever ruse to frighten the soldier into thinking the forest was haunted and dangerous. Bryn created a toxic fog that had mild hallucinogenic properties Danya crafted some creepy windchimes Esh made some misleading sign posts Bean set some traps and used drown powder They all made a giant wicker man that was set afire and moved by a hidden mechanism and an eerie voice. The soldiers called it the "Burning Devil" They also had the corpse of Boss Rass swinging from the trees The army was demoralized and many ran off into the woods. The other half, including, Major Dalwood, run and try to cross the old stone bridge.
